BIOGRAFIE
Su Polyphonic Choir werd in januari 2023 in Maastricht opgericht door dirigent Ceyda Ayanoglu. Het boetiekjonge acapellakoor heeft een repertoire dat bestaat uit klassieke, jazz-, pop- en lokale traditionele liederen.

Voordelen van dicht bij water zijn: “Het is aangetoond dat water stress en angst vermindert, het welzijn en geluk verhoogt, de hart- en ademhalingsfrequentie verlaagt en over het algemeen een gezondere levensstijl heeft.”
Dit vormt de hoeksteen van de filosofie van het koor, waarbij de nadruk wordt gelegd op de verenigende en genezende eigenschappen van water, waardoor een thematische focus op genezing en vereniging ontstaat. Deze muzikale reis is een suggestieve verkenning, waarin de dynamische vloeibaarheid en veelzijdige essentie van water wordt vastgelegd.
In het zorgvuldig samengestelde repertoire getiteld 'Lands of Water' beginnen we aan een muzikale odyssee die genres overstijgt, waaronder klassieke meesterwerken en improvisatiejazz. Je zult getuige zijn van de vloeibaarheid en de reis van water. We hebben een breed scala aan stukken in ons cultureel rijke repertoire. We brengen dertien boeiende stukken in zes talen. Je wordt ondergedompeld in de resonerende tonen uit verschillende landen, tradities en talen, zoals Turks, Engels, Duits, Spaans, Uruguay en Latijn.
De ervaring gaat dus verder dan alleen een muzikaal optreden; het wordt een viering van de onderlinge verbondenheid van de mensheid, een bewijs van de blijvende invloed van water op de menselijke geest.

Su Polyphonic Choir was founded in January 2023, in Maastricht by the conductor Ceyda Ayanoglu. The boutique, young acapella choir has a repertoire that comprises classical, jazz, pop, and local traditional songs.

Benefits of being close to water: “Water has been shown to lower stress and anxiety, increase well-being and happiness, lower heart and breathing rates, and have a generally healthier lifestyle."
This forms the cornerstone of the choir's philosophy, emphasizing the unifying and healing properties of water, thereby shaping a thematic focus on healing and unification. This musical journey is an evocative exploration, capturing the dynamic fluidity and multifaceted essence of water.
In the meticulously curated repertoire titled "Lands of Water," we embark on a musical odyssey that transcends genres, including classical masterpieces and improvisational jazz. You will witness the fluidity and journey of water. We have a wide range of pieces in our culturally rich repertoire. We stage thirteen captivating pieces in six languages. You will be immersed in the resonant tones from different lands, traditions, and languages such as Turkish, English, German, Spanish, Uruguay, and Latin.
Thus, the experience extends beyond a mere musical performance; it becomes a celebration of the interconnectedness of humanity, a testament to the enduring influence of water on the human spirit. Enjoy!
